Portraits

A pen and ink portrait takes a tremendous amount of skill to execute and forever captures the precious face of a child, parent, sibling, grandparent, friend, a special pet, or any loved one.  I view several photos in order to pick the right photo or photos from which to create a unique portrait. I take the utmost care to capture the essence of each person or pet and reflect it in the portrait, turning your photos into art you will cherish for a lifetime.

When you commission a portrait, I will ask you to send as many photos as possible. They must be clear and show good detail, especially of the face and eyes.

• You may send photos by email or physical mail.

• You may select pencil, pen and ink, or pen and ink with mixed media.

• Ink: black and/or colored ink.

Mixed media consists of: gouache paint, iridescent paint, colored pencil, or colored chalk.

​

A payment of half the total cost is due up front to begin the project. After the portrait is well on its way to completion, I will send a photo or email of the portrait for your approval.The final portrait will be shipped to you after I receive final payment, which may be made by check, money order, or through PayPal, where you can pay with a PayPal account or Credit Card.
